Old Town
Location: Old Town Alexandria is conveniently located near Ronald Reagan National Airport
Nearest Metro: King Street (Blue and Yellow lines), Braddock Rd. (Blue and Yellow lines)
Character: This beautifully preserved historic district is George Washington‘s adopted hometown, which continues to hum with a foodie-friendly vibe loved by presidents and First Families. Fine dining connoisseurs head to the city’s gourmet hubs forpalatepleasingdishesorto the brick-lined streets for dining al fresco.
Del Ray
Location: The area to the northwest of Old Town, which had been in the separate town of Potomac, is popularly known as Del Ray
Nearest Metro: Braddock Rd. (Blue and Yellow lines)
Character: Del Ray is “Where Main Street Still Exists” with made-for-strolling Mount Vernon Avenue dotted with family friendly pizzerias, barbecue restaurants and sophisticated spots like Cheesetique, named “Best Mac and Cheese in the US” by Food & Wine magazine.
Crystal City/Pentagon City
Location: Crystal City is centered along a stretch of Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. 1), just south of The Pentagon, just east of Pentagon City, and within walking distance to the west of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Nearest Metro: Crystal City (Blue and Yellow lines), Pentagon City (Blue and Yellow lines)
Character: Crystal City is almost exclusively populated by high-rise apartment buildings, corporate offices, hotels, and numerous shops and restaurants. There is also an extensive network of underground shopping areas and connecting corridors beneath Crystal City.
Hollin Hills
Location: Hollin Hills is adjacent to other neighborhoods such as Villamay and Mason Hill, just south of Alexandria in the South Alexandria section of Fairfax County, Virginia.
Nearest Metro: King St-Old Town (Blue and Yellow lines)
Character: Hollin Hills brought contemporary construction to northern Virginia. The community was one of the first post-World-War-II developments around Washington, D.C. and it is known primarily for its modern architecture, which is very cohesive because of a design review committee that advises on building or modification of existing houses.
Kingstowne
Location: It is a master-planned community that lies amidst the Washington, D.C.suburbs of Springfield, Alexandria, and Lorton, Virginia and is centered on the intersection of South Van Dorn Street and Kingstowne Boulevard.
Nearest Metro: Franconia-Springfield (Blue line), Van Dorn (Blue line)
Character: Residents enjoy amenities including miles of walking trails, a beautiful lake, swimming pools, tennis and volleyball courts, numerous tot lots, an aerobics studio and two state-of-the-art fitness centers. Every effort has been made to maintain much of its 1200 acres of green space, making Kingstowne a unique urban environment.
